Importés directement de Londres, ces deux lascars ont pour habitude de retourner toutes les scènes que se trouvent sur leurs passage!
Habitués des festivals UK parmi les plus gros, ils ne viennent pas à Marseille pour rigoler, alors rendez-vous vendredi 11 novembre à l’UPercut Jazzclub pour montrer à ces deux fous que nous aussi on peut sauter partout!!!

Pour commencer, comme d’habitude, c’est nos amis de Swingin’ Marseille qui s’occupent de chauffer le dancefloor avec un set full Lindy Hop de 21h à 23h.
Et ensuite c’est l’escalade pour finir avec le Ghetto Funk des Frères Poulet!

The Chicken Brothers – Bio

Over the past few years The Chicken Brothers have earned themselves a positive reputation across the festival and party scene for being refreshing and fun; their energetic and highly infectious on-stage antics keep crowds engaged and smiling from beak to feet. Described as being ‘more animated than the entire Disney Pixar back catalogue’ they don’t take themselves too seriously but their appreciation of music certainly ain’t no joke.

Serving up the best mechanically recovered beats with a healthy dollop of turntable trickery in a free-range remix sauce, the feathered brethren have developed a gastro-sonic following with their simple recipe:

« Take a pinch of vintage inspiration, a teaspoon of classic tunes, a litre of warm bass, spatchcock a breakbeat and gently combine over a medium heat and season well for modern sound systems »

These two particular specimens (part of the Red Junglefowl* subspecies) are native to the UK but have been sighted across Europe and as far afield as Australia. Somehow they have mastered the art of flight and use it to take their own style with them wherever they go.

With releases on Ghetto Funk, Itchy Pig records, Green Queen Music plus yearly return trips to festivals including Glastonbury (Shangri-la), Boomtown (Mayfair Ballroom), Kendal Calling (Riot Jazz), Secret Garden Party (Home Grown) and Shambala (Swingamajig) they have scratched out their territory well and are always looking to expand into new stomping grounds. Coming to a town near you. Keep an eye on the skies.
